Rebecca Crowell

Rebecca Crowell has been a professional artist for over thirty years. Her work is included in many hundreds of private, public and corporate collections, including the MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) the University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, and the Ballinglen Museum of Contemporary Art in Ireland.

She is widely known for her development of innovative painting techniques involving cold wax medium and oil and has taught workshops on the topic in the US and internationally for the past decade. She is the co-author of the award-winning book, Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts & Conversations (Squeegee Press, 2017) and co-founder of the online learning platform, Cold Wax Academy. She travels often to the rugged landscapes she loves and has been awarded numerous artist residencies and fellowships in locations such as Ireland, Spain, and Sweden. She and her husband, Don, live in a renovated adobe in Dixon, New Mexico .
