About Winterowd Fine Art
Winterowd Fine Art, a gallery housed in a centuries-old building on historic Canyon Road, invites visitors to explore art inspired by the beauty and wonder of Nature. For over twenty years, Winterowd has represented accomplished artists – the majority of whom are local to Santa Fe and northern New Mexico – working in a variety of media including oil, watercolor, cold wax, mixed media, glass, bronze, and stone. Luminous landscapes, stellar abstracts, and wondrous sculptures enchant and uplift, offering an intimate experience of bliss grounded in the present moment. Winterowd’s friendly, knowledgeable staff helps clients and collectors acquire original artworks that create a sense of vibrant well-being in their everyday surroundings.
Under the guidance of Karla Kay Winterowd, both Winterowd Fine Art and Kay Contemporary Art are two of the greatest contemporary art galleries in the Southwest. In Karla’s leadership role, she is an advisor to both artists and collectors, drawing upon her significant experience as a longtime gallery owner, gallery director, and art expert. Karla’s arts education both here and abroad established early on her knowledge and life-long passion. With a warm and genuine approach, Karla has assisted countless individuals in making joyous art choices for their homes and businesses.
Rosanne Kadis has been enthusiastically sharing art with all who walk through the gallery doors for the past 20 years. Rosanne grew up in New York, where MOMA was her home away from home. She lived in Manhattan’s Soho through the 1980’s and knew Leo Castelli and other luminaries of that era. This priceless education combined with formal schooling at Carnegie Mellon University, School of Art, and The College of Santa Fe, Arts Education, provided her with an invaluable perspective and understanding of the visual arts. Rosanne gained substantial knowledge as a gallery director and as an educator with both the New Mexico Museum of Art and SITE Santa Fe.
