Modern Illusions in Native American Art is an exhibition featuring works by artists who are on the cutting edge of Native Art. Artists were asked to mine the illusions of their culture, including icons, myths, dualities, mirages and stories. Paintings, sculptures, works on paper and installation are all part of this break-out exhibition. Participating artists include Marla Allison, Jamison Chas Banks, Brian Coffin, Shan Goshorn, Silvester Hustito, Jeff Kahm, Joel C. McHorse, Chris Pappan, Alex J. Peña, Wendy Red Star and Kathy Whitman Elk-Woman. This exhibition runs from August 17-31, 2014. Meet the artists on Friday, August 22 from 6-8pm.
